Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Receives a Manga Prequel and Blu-ray Edition!
CD PROJEKT RED is thrilled to announce that the critically acclaimed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is being adapted into a manga prequel that focuses on fan-favorite characters Rebecca and her brother Pilar. The original anime, previously available only on Netflix, will also receive a Blu-ray edition in 2025.

- Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS will be released in a serialized format in Japanese, Polish, Spanish, Italian, German, French, and Traditional Chinese.

Created in collaboration with studio TRIGGER, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners premiered on Netflix in 2022 and quickly became an international hit, garnering various awards including the prestigious Anime of the Year from the Anime Awards 2023. Set in the universe of CD PROJEKT RED’s best-selling video game Cyberpunk 2077, it tells the standalone story of David Martinez, a street kid trying to survive in the technology and body modification-obsessed megalopolis of Night City.
The anime’s first-ever manga adaptation, titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS, follows the chaotic lives of two characters who viewers were first introduced to in the anime: siblings Rebecca and Pilar, who quickly became fan favorites. Before they joined David’s crew, the pair grew up wreaking havoc in their path to become legendary edgerunners like their father — but when the mysterious Safran interrupts their daily routine in Night City, he changes their future.
The manga will arrive in a monthly serialized format in the following languages through the listed publishers:
- Japanese: KADOKAWA Corporation (Online Comic label ALIVE＋)
- Polish: Studio JG
- Italian: Panini SpA
- Spanish: Panini España S.A.
- German: Panini Verlags Gmbh
- French: Panini France S.A.

The first chapter will release in all languages above on December 13th, with the exception of Traditional Chinese, which will follow on December 20th. The English edition will be published in paperback volumes by Dark Horse.
