Promised Land Art Festival Begins In Two Weeks!

Promised Land Art Festival announces further agenda updates as well as speakers, lectures, sponsors, and much more ahead of its opening day on September 8th.

Promised Land Art Festival will soon open its doors to creative industry professionals around the world, with a packed calendar of workshops, discussion panels, networking sessions, tech demonstrations, and much more. In attendance will be talented representatives from companies including Larian Studios, Remedy Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and CD PROJEKT RED, as well as artists working on the latest TV series and films, all ready to share their expertise.

This year’s event features lectures from renowned creative industry professionals, including Björn Hurri, who will share behind-the-scenes insights into the Diablo franchise, Alena Dubrovina, who will detail the visual development of fantasy races in Baldur’s Gate 3, Pav Grochola, who will discuss the computer graphics of the Academy Award-nominated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and John Crossland, who will analyze Alan Wake 2’s character outfit creation process.

Apart from lectures, discussion panels, and networking sessions, Promised Land Art Festival will also play host to hands-on workshops for attendees. Notable workshops include Matt Cexwish’s miniature painting workshop, Alexandra Slava’s portrait sculpture workshop, Alyssa Zarate’s matte painting in VFX and animation workshop, and many more.

Partners to the event include Alterpose Studio, offering daily live drawing sessions, Moonshine Studio and Modliszka Tattoo Studio, with a selection of tattoo artists and flash tattoos for attendees to choose from, Edition Caurette, with high quality art books from contemporary illustrators for purchase and perusal, and Prusa, who will demonstrate their latest 3D printing technology.

Promised Land attendees can also enjoy an exclusive advance screening of the film Diplodocus and a Q&A with its creators. The film is the first Polish full-length animated feature of its kind, inspired by the comics of the legendary Tadeusz Baranowski and voiced by a star-studded cast of Polish actors. Further attractions include free entry to EC1 Łódź exhibits, including the Retro Zone, featuring games from the 1980s and 90s, the innovative Game Lab, which serves as an introduction into the complexities of game development, and the latest exhibit Anatomy of Comics, dedicated to all aspects of comic books.

Promised Land Art Festival is organized by CD PROJEKT RED, and sponsored by Displate, On Lemon, PLAY, and Activision. Its partners include AMD, Editions Caurette, Get3D, IT Media, Prusa, SteelSeries, WACOM, Trójka Polskie Radio, Niezła Sztuka, Moonshine, and Modliszka studios. The event held under the auspices of Łódź City Council as part of the “Łódź Creates (“Łódź Kreuje”) and "EC1 Łódź – The City of Culture" ("EC1 Łódź – Miasto Kultury") promotional programs.
